We all went there for the match, a small town like Billericay playing at Wembley, who could not go !
Then a day out in London ..singing “Ricky Boys, Ricky Boys”

I enjoyed this look back to your run in the seventies. I supported East Ham back then and had our home quarter final with Sheffield called off but went to New Lodge to see Billericay hammer Almondsbury 6-2. A couple of seasons before that I saw us beat Billericay one nil in the Essex Cup. I’ve just finished my 50th season watching non league football and I must say the Billericay team at that time were one of the best I saw.

I hope you enjoy this, and it brings back many happy memories of those glory days in the 1970s. It was a labour of love and HAD to be done. I think it was quoted that a third of the population of Billericay were at these Wembley games. This film was premiered at the Club, to the players and their young families, and of course, the fans. There is still great football to be seen, in an amazingly transformed stadium, so hope that you can come back and cheer Town on. It’s what generations have been doing since 1880.
