This book was given to Sylvia Kent for publication on this website. It was written in 1950 and is a look back at Billericay’s past, a review of the town as it was then and a prediction of what the future may bring.

Thank you for working so hard Jim to improve this photograph which was so very small. We can now see the individuals’ faces and somehow this book comes alive. We have some of the boys still living in Billericay and they are pleased that we can all appreciate this wonderful piece of local history!
