  • I’m trying to locate the former home of my great aunt. Back in the 1950’s 60’s and 70’s she and her husband ran a chicken farm and a catering business from a property I believe was called ‘The Warren’. We used to approach Billericay from Chelmsford. My great aunt also ran the Post Office in Ramsden Heath. Their married surname was Warder. My great aunt was Lodge.

  • Kevin Thomson, blimey!! I remember that so well. We were going to the two-tone concert with The Specials, Madness, Selectee and Dexy’s.

  • I think I was chased along with Stephen too, but that might have been down Camden High Street by a gang of skinheads outside the Electric Ballroom

  • Found this site by chance.
Yes, I remember them. I think I remember one of the son’s name as Jeremy, but was long time ago?
Their house was near “Moley’s”, whose land backed on to our garden at 21 Mill Road. My brother, Kevin, myself and Adrian Sheath, who lived opposite us, often got chased off it by him.
