This my great uncle Albert Harrington.
He died in 1942 and his daughter Bessie carried on the business. The shop was started by Samuel his father in about 1870. They lived in Chapel House , Chapel Street from 1889, Albert’s son Sydney then lived there.

Didn’t the left hand widow have all fishing tackle on display and inside or am I getting mixed up with another shop.
The Harrington’s are also related to the Essex PEASE Family, my nephew is related to them as well, I have researched the family for many years. and remember chatting to Bessie when I was young.
