Foxcroft Memories
1948 to 1953
By Gerald Millard
I lived at Foxcroft from 1948 until 1953. My brothers Paul and Chris were also there with me. I have very fond memories of being at Foxcroft.
I remember the Americans coming to the home every year and they were very good to us kids, We had pillow cases at the bottom of our beds full of fruit, chocolate and a big toy.
Miss Nissan was a lovely lady to all of us and was just like a mum. The back garden was a great play area for us and we played out there for hours every day, heaven. For holidays, I remember we went on trips to Felixstowe and Clacton-on-Sea.
