The Station Taxi Rank

This photograph taken in 1982 was supplied by Rob Wisdom. The scene hasn’t changed that much, the back of the shops with flats above in Radford way still look much the same. However if you look up to the other side of Stock Road, where now stands the large apartment block called Langthornes, is the car dealership site of Station Garage.

It is interesting to note the cars in the photo, an Austin Maxi in front followed by a Vauxhall Cavalier and finally a Ford Cortina Mk4
