I made a mistake about Green’s Stores being a self service store in 1960. I think it was always a counter service store. It was completely refitted and had new shop front which I believe is still in existence today.

I worked in this store for a while when it was a self service store way back in 1960. A Mr Sid Lee was the manager and then a Mr Hull.
