Service Number ‘7511’ – Hon. Artillery Company 2nd Battalion

Died on Saturday 29th June 1918 aged 27.

Remembered on the Giavera Memorial, north of Treviso, Italy.

Son of Horace Albert and Rachel Vieweg of Leyton.

Sergeant Vieweg may have been killed when a diversionary patrol was caught in short range machine gun fire with the entire section being killed, wounded or captured whilst the Battalion was in the line in the heights of the Asiago Plateau.
