Oxfam

This building is reputed to have Tudor origins with a more modern frontage. In this photograph it still appears to be a house but some time afterwards it had a shop frontage installed. For many years it has been the home of Oxfam in Billericay. On 4th March 2011 at just before five a.m. fire broke out it the upper part of the building. The High Street was closed for the greater part of the day and both Oxfam and the Clark’s shoe shop next door were badly damaged.
